Healing with sound or music is an ancient form of healing (probably one of the oldest) which has been used in many Eastern cultures and by ancient civilisations such as the Egyptians and Greeks.  More recently, the advancement of new science has provided valuable support and insight to these techniques.  It appears that cutting edge science is only now discovering what ancient civilisations have known for thousands of years. Science is finally realising that the beneficial effects of sound go much deeper than a sense of emotional well-being.

Harmonious sounds combined with the right intention have a profound healing effect on the body at a cellular level, as well as on an emotional and mental level.  It can also greatly assist in your spiritual journey allowing you to work through your own process with ease.

Sound Therapy works on the basis that everything in the universe is energy vibrating at a certain frequency – in this way you could say that everything is sound. Disharmony in our physical, mental, emotional or energetic bodies may eventually manifest as dis-ease.   My therapy room is set up in my home which is ina quiet hamlet 10 minutes drive from St Austell.

"I got out of bed the morning after my treatment with no pain in my leg or foot for the first time in months.  For the past 2 weeks since the treatment I have been much more mobile.  You certainly played the right bowls!  Thank you Michelle!”   Mary, Surrey

"Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you one-to-one Michelle.  The sessions with you have really helped me come in to balance and harmony and I really enjoyed the sound that you played specifically for me.  You have a wonderful passion and enthusiasm for your work, for the Earth and humankind and you are clearly gifted in your channel for sound.  I wish you abundant blessings on your journey through life and specifically creating your new home in Cornwall".  Sarah, Surrey

"As I told you at the time I was very skeptical about the whole thing but curious to find out more about it after you were recommended to me and now I'm a convert.  What you do is so relaxing and I couldn't believe it when the bad back I'd been suffering from for 2 weeks had miraculously disappeared by the end of the treatment too.  Very interesting."  Malcolm, Surrey

"I am writing to express my amazement at how well your sound healing has helped me.  Following our three sessions I have come to understand how powerfully it works on all levels of the body.  I have felt extremely happy and content from my first treatment, with a greater sense of self and a feeling of general wellbeing.  After the second session I could feel deeply held emotions beginning to surface, which I have hung onto for a long time, thus helping me to begin to release negative and unwanted feelings.  After the third session I felt there began to be even more of a shift in my deeply held emotions and beliefs as these began to change and come to the forefront of my mind for me to address.  The Sound exercises you gave me have helped to calm me down in tearful moments and have helped me to bring my emotions out.  I cannot recommend your sound healing strongly enough.  I know i has had a deep and profound effect on me.  Thank you."  Penny, Surrey

"I contacted Michelle to be a subject for her Sound Therapy.  As a therapist I was familiar with the concept of vibrating energy and was keen to experience Sound Therapy as I hadn't heard about it .  I was quite tired and stressed beforehand and had been having what I thought were episodes of angina for a couple of months.  Also my energy levels were low and I wondered if ME was returning.   Michelle explained what she would be doing and I felt comfortable with that.  I did put up some resistance to letting myself relax and go with the flow but half way through the session I finally gave in.  I experienced quite strong colour images which I felt were possibly representing the chakras.  At the end of the session I felt more relaxed around the chest area.  I found over the 7 days to the second session that my palpitations and chest pains had decreased and I had better sleep and I could feel my energy levels rising.  I had a similar experience following my second session.  At the third session I immediately went into deep relaxation and although I had quite vivid images I could not recount any of them.  Since my last session I have been more relaxed with increased energy levels.  I am pleased that the chest tightness and pains have virtually disappeared.  I will definitely visit Michelle for further sessions in the future." Anne, Cornwall

"I went to Michelle as a case study, never having encountered sound healing before but was attracted to the concept.  Michelle immediately made me feel so at ease and the sound healing was a joy.

I would go so far as to say that it was the most relaxing and profound treatment I have ever received.  Michelle also provides superb aftercare and exercises to compliment the treatment she has given.  I am keen to continue sound healing and would throroughly recommned her as a practitioner, as with all treatments the patient practitioner relationship is key to the sucess of the outcome."  Stella, Cornwall

Case Studies Needed!

I am currently in my second year studying the British Academy of Sound Therapy method of Sound Therapy and am looking for Case Studies.  You would need to be available for 3 sessions between 7 and 10 days apart and be happy to feed back to me with your experiences.  When you contact me you will need to let me know if:

If female, you are less than 3 months’ pregnant (I am very interested in working with mums to be over 3 months pregnant however)
If you have, or have they had, frequency triggered epilepsy or any seizures which you believe are sound triggered
If you currently have, clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, paranoid schizophrenia or any other mental health condition.
If you have recently had surgery or any medical procedure.
If you are prone to anaphylaxis or require any life saving medication to be administered.  Do you need to carry an Epi-pen, for example?
If you have any serious medical condition or general special need (not considered a ‘vulnerable person’) that I should know about before the treatment.
If you are comfortable lying on a therapy couch.   You can be treated in a chair if this is not the case.
If you have metal implants in your body, such as pins or joints.
If you are under 18 years of age or a vulnerable adult.

You will need to:

Wear loose, comfortable clothing to the treatments as I would like you to feel as comfortable as possible.

Not eat a large meal directly before a treatment (again for your comfort).

Drink water beforehand and avoid alcohol for 24 hours and recreational drugs.  I will provide water for you after your treatment.

Make sure you have a relaxing afternoon/rest of day planned as you may need time to process the treatment.
